Plans for the Consecration of the Rev Canon Dr Nick Bundock Continue Apace

The Diocesan Office is pleased to share an update on the forthcoming Consecration of the Rev Canon Dr Nick Bundock as the next Bishop of the United Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway, which will take place at 4pm on Saturday, 3 May 2025, at St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral, Glasgow, followed by a reception at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.

Due to limited capacity at both the cathedral and the reception venue, this is an invitation-only event. Initial invitations have already been sent, with further tickets expected to be made available to congregations around mid-April, following the current RSVP process.

The event is organised in accordance with the provincial protocol for consecrations, bringing together clergy, laity, ecumenical, interfaith and secular friends and partners, as well as the wider church community to celebrate this new chapter in the life of the Diocese and the Scottish Episcopal Church, as the people of Glasgow and Galloway prepare to welcome their new bishop.

For those who are unable to be present in person, the Diocese is arranging for a livestream of the service, with a recording available afterward. Details on accessing the broadcast will be shared closer to the date.

We look forward to this significant occasion in the life of the diocese and appreciate your understanding of the arrangements for the event, as well as your prayers for Nick, his family, and the people of Glasgow and Galloway.
