Following the Farewell Eucharist and Celebration of Ministry Service at St Mary’s Cathedral, Glasgow last Saturday, Bishop Kevin writes:
Dear Friends,
I would just like to thank you all very much for the cards, letters and gifts that I have received as I prepare for retirement. It was a great joy to welcome so many friends to the celebration at the Cathedral last week. Thank you all for being there and joining me in thanksgiving. Thank you seems an inadequate expression, when I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for your support and love over the past four years. I also much appreciate the very generous gift presented to me at the reception afterwards.
Elspeth and I will miss you all. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to serve God in the Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway. I pray that the Diocese continues to grow and flourish in the years ahead.
