Bishop Kevin attended the Inauguration of the Rt Rev Dr Helen-Ann Hartley as the 13th Bishop of Newcastle. Bishop Helen-Ann and her parents lived next door to Bishop Kevin’s parents many years ago, allowing them to journey together in God’s love.
Bishop Kevin joined the prayers during the service and addressed Bishop Helen-Ann, saying: “I bring you greetings, love, and prayers from the Scottish Episcopal Church. I can claim to have been a part of your journey for a very, very, very long time. I would also like to bring you the greetings, love, and prayers of the nation where your forebears’ faith was nurtured and has given you so much. And it is good to know that there is a member of the College of Bishops in England who can actually spell Drumnadrochit. God bless you and keep you!”
We join with Bishop Kevin, praying for Bishop Helen-Ann, her ministry, and the people of her diocese.
