In our prayers, we lift up the delegates preparing to attend the 18th plenary session of the Anglican Consultative Council (ACC-18), in Accra, Ghana, from 12 to 19 February 2023.
We pray for the Rev Lee Johnston, priest in charge of St Andrew’s, Ardrossan and St Peter’s, Dalry in our Diocese, and for Alistair Dinnie, member of St John’s, Princes Street, Edinburgh, who will both attend as SEC representatives, as well as Amie Byers, another SEC member from our Diocese, who is the youth representative of the Europe region.
The ACC-18 meeting is the last in the ten-year Season of Intentional Discipleship, agreed at ACC-16. The agenda will focus around the approaching 40th anniversary of the Marks of Mission, which were developed in a report to ACC-6 in Badagry, Nigeria, in July 1984.
